Configure, monitor and maintain KBS Managed Virtual Server farms. Be able to deploy guests within a virtual farm.
Monitor system performance using standard tools (SCOM), creating baselines, planning capacity, and tuning systems to achieve business required reliability and performance.
Keep customers up to date and knowledgeable about what is happening with their server(s).
Collaborate with remote plant personnel, vendors, and other IT teams to provide server support and consultation.
Respond to ITSM tickets and notifications received to meet business SLA’s.
Have a working knowledge of supported server hardware to allow troubleshooting of systems as required.
Follow all change control processes and communicate across IT teams to eliminate risk and maintain level of service required.
Have a basic understanding of SAN and general storage environment.
Work with the Backup Team to understand the various system, backup software, and hardware at the locations supported to a level that allows a backup and restore of a system (data or full bare-metal restores).

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule
2 year degree in Computer Science OR equivalent work experience
High school diploma or GED
